Alfonso and Shannon's wedding day at the Farm at South Mountain in Phoenix, Arizona was our very first morning wedding and we loved it! We arrived just as the sun was dawning on their day. It was early but we loved the change of pace. The morning was quiet and serene as Alfonso and his Step-father, who was also his best man, got ready in the old farmhouse while Sabrina prepared Shannon for her day in the next room. We're sure they were both thinking of how they got to this day. They met while both working for the City of Peoria. Shannon was the one to make the first move, asking her boss for Alfonso's phone number. Their friendship began and years later it blossomed into romance. They are quiet and reserved, homebodies that would rather stay in for a movie. It was fitting that Alfonso romantically proposed to Shannon when it was just the two of them at home knowing that Shannon didn't like to be the center of attention.
Their intimate first look took place in the peaceful lawn adjacent to the farmhouse as the sunlight filtered through trees. Their joy was evident and it was so sweet when Shannon shared the photo of her mother in the charm on her bouquet with him.
As the angelic light spilled around them we took some time for portraits on the tranquil farm property. They enjoyed their time together taking in that this was their wedding day and they would soon be husband and wife! Then we completed their wedding party portraits and a few more detail all before the ceremony began.
It was finally the moment they had been waiting for! The ceremony began under the canopy of the enormous pecan trees. Their ceremony was focused on their faith and their family, their cornerstones. It was very touching when each of their families spoke during the ceremony and bestowed their blessings on the couple. Their vows were heartfelt and true, they exchanged rings and sealed their vows with a kiss. They entered their brunch reception as the newly minted husband and wife! Their family and friends toasted the newlyweds and shared memories and stories about their courtship and relationship. They shared their first dance as husband and wife as their guests lovingly surrounded them. As they were leaving their reception to jet off on their honeymoon they family and friends sent them off with a flurry of bubbles and laughter!
Alfonso and Shannon we were so happy to be a part of your special day! We wish you all the love and laughter your hearts can hold :)
